“Mother Earth”

This Art Quilt is an homage to Mother Nature who is a common personification of the Earth and its biosphere as a giver and sustainer of life.

It depicts the Earth with the Sun’s life-giving rays showing behind it.

It is made from various coloured cotton fabric. Sewn as raw edge applique onto a brown round cotton background with a multicoloured cotton quilted border and a hand sewn green and pink cotton border. It has pockets sewn to the back for hanging.

It is approximately 38.5 cm (15 ins) wide by approximately 48 cm (19 ins) Long.
